The second sample again came from a normally distributed population, the mean of that population, we will refer to it as Mewtwo and its variants will be sigma squared sub two. The mean of the population of the first sample is going to be referred to as a new one and the variance of the population that the first sample was drawn from is going to be referred to as sigma squared sub one. Both of them are coming from normally distributed populations. And the second sample will have elements of Y one, Y two, Y three all the way up to Y sub N. ![]() We're going to draw two samples from populations that are normally distributed and the first sample will have members X one or elements X one, X two, X three and so forth, up to X sub M.
